As TIE’s Programme Director, Ulle's role is to liaise with NGOs and social initiatives from around the world to identify opportunities that leave a positive mark on the planet. Prior to joining TIE, she interned at the Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and got her master’s in political science at the Federal University of Pernambuco, where her dissertation centred around how institutions can help further minorities' rights. Her interest in understanding the world to help improve it has also led her to live in Hungary through the Rotary Youth Exchange Program. Nowadays she is a PhD student in Political Science and International Relations, where she continues to further her studies on how institutions shape the world. An avid reader, she is also a black belt in karate and believes that helping and teaching each other is the way to move forward in society and get through today's challenges. Ulle sees TIE as a bridge between the corporate and the non-profit sectors and, believing they have much to learn from one another, she would like to help bring forth what is best in both so they can thrive together.
