Meet the next dream team
A fuel efficient stove is the worst investment you can make.
It doesn’t create huge returns like gas, oil, solar, and electric.
It reaches the poorest 2.8 billion people on the planet. Who don’t have much money to spend. And especially not on expensive technology.
So it’s better to just ignore the situation.
Or is it?
What is the impact of those 2.8 billion people cutting down trees and burning fuel?
What happens to the environment? What happens to the health of those people inhaling that smoke?
Is it still the worst investment? Interesting, right?
And this is what we’ll be working on over the next six weeks with this next powerhouse TIE Accelerator team.
We have individuals with experience in venture capital investing, finance, marketing, sustainability and strategy. All coming together to help the Cleaner Cooking Coalition (CCC) prepare for the UN’s High Level Dialogue on Energy (HLDE) meeting happening in New York in September 2021.
This is a UNIQUE opportunity to provide transformational action. And truly is history in the making.
2.8 billion people worldwide still rely on burning solid fuels for their everyday basic energy needs. In Malawi, smoke inhalation from household air pollution is the single biggest health issue. The CCC’s goal is to make sustainable cooking energy accessible for all.
Working on this project the team will have the opportunity to collaborate with an incredibly diverse team of leaders from around the world, and together design a communications campaign to ensure the decision-makers on sustainable energy development worldwide and climate financiers understand the importance of investing in cleaner cooking solutions.
They will also have a chance to grow in new ways, break out of their bubbles, and turn their good intentions into real impact.
“I’ll have a chance to influence things I believe in”.
“A chance to give back and apply my experience to make a change in the world“.
“I want to leave a better world for the next generation and a legacy of purpose-driven leadership”.
“I am keen to leverage my leadership to make a dent in a real-world problem and initiative positive change right now”.
We can’t wait to see what the next 6 weeks have in store for us. Watch this space.
It’s time. Let’s change things!
