As TIE's pre-departure Development Trainer, Evelyn is no stranger to business management with enough experience and gumption to put Lord Sugar on the spot. That being said it didn’t stop her completing her Masters in Business Administration later in life (show off). All this was put to good use when she pursued her lifelong dream of working in Africa, volunteering with the Voluntary Service Overseas, here her skills met their match pioneering development work in Gambia, West Africa. Now living the dream as her development work fulfilled her true vocation, she continued for several years tackling a variety of roles completing a range of projects in many countries around Africa and Asia. Not one to miss an opportunity she also used this time to interacted with many organisations from local NGOs* to the World Bank and the UN (watch out, she’s well connected). Upon returning to the UK, she continued development work as a trainer for a range of development organisations such as VSO and Accenture Development Partnerships as well as occasionally conducting development workshops both in the UK and in developing countries. As you can see, you’re in safe hands when you’re with Evelyn.
