Even before the inception of The International Exchange, James was providing his pearls of wisdom! Still today he’s regularly providing advice to TIE in order to help us find the best way to move forward, ensuring the solution is still in line with our company DNA and vision, yet with a view to providing that exposure and stability that we are seeking. James runs a digital transformation consultancy called Orchestra Middle East from its Dubai head quarters. He is also a co-founder of Next Money Middle East and vice chairman of The Marketing Society Middle East. Previously James launched in Asia WPP's Media Innovation Group (MIG), a programmatic media consultancy and “agency trading desk", based in Singapore, which has since been merged into GroupM’s Xaxis. James is an ad man who started his career at JWT’s media consultancy, the Advanced Techniques Group (now MindShare’s ATG). After a period as a brand consultant in Hong Kong and London, James has been helping creative, digital and media agencies boost their clients’ brands – and businesses – across this region as well as across Europe. James has a bachelor’s in French Studies, majoring in medieval literature, 1950s film and 1960s music from the University of Birmingham, UK and Université Stendhal, Grenoble, France. He inflicts old French pop music on the ears of his little boy – but only when his wife isn’t home.
